September 2015 Mixer - "A Salute to Heroes"

We’ll be back at The Abbey this month for a special 9-11 mixer where we will offer a “Salute to Heroes.”

Our two featured speakers are both veterans of Iraq and are Republican candidates running for office:

Jacquie Atkinson served in the US Marines as a platoon commander, company commander and staff officer directly in support of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.  She’s a highly decorated honorably discharged veteran, Wounded Warrior Alumni and protected Combat Medal Veteran with Combat decorations.  She’s running for congress in San Diego’s 52nd congressional district against Scott Peters.

Jacquie is engaged to be married with her partner Annette Renee GrandPre.

Elan Carr joined the US Army just a few months before the terrorist attacks of 9-11.  He led an anti-terrorism team in life-saving missions throughout Baghdad and the rest of the country. He continues to serve as a JAG Corps officer in the US Army Reserve.

Elan is running for LA County supervisor and is a long time friend of Log Cabin LA.

Members get in this month’s mixer for just $10, which includes free appetizers and happy hour pricing at the bar.  Non-members pay $15 and Governor level members and above are free.  In addition to food they will also receive two free drink tickets.

Not a Governor? You can get in to this mixer and all the others for free as well as free admission to our pool party and holiday party for only $25 per month – click here

We hope you can join us to see these two dynamic speakers and offer them your appreciation for their service to our country.
