October 2016 Mixer

We're back at the Fiesta Cantina rooftop this month for our Log Cabin mixer before the November elections.

Our featured speaker this month is Juan Hernandez - a member of Log Cabin Republicans in Silicon Valley and a plaintiff in a lawsuit against San Jose city officials for their failure to protect Trump rally participants.

If you think the verbal attacks on Trump have been brutal - the PHYSICAL attacks on his supporters have been worse!

On Thursday, June 2, 2016, America watched in horror as a San Jose political rally turned violent. Some supporters of Donald Trump were viciously attacked by intolerant progressives and thugs. According to police, they were instructed to take a "hands-off" approach in dealing with these violent attackers. The violence played out before our eyes.

One of those attacked in this incident was our guest speaker Juan. He received multiple injuries from the attack, including to his face, and he required hospital treatment for a broken nose. You can read more about what happened in this Washington Post article by clicking here

On June 8th, Log Cabin Los Angeles held a press conference on the steps of San Jose City Hall to call for an investigation as to why the City let these individuals be attacked simply for exercising their 1st Amendment rights. Flash-forward - The case against the City is moving forward. Juan has become an unlikely hero for Log Cabin Republicans. As a Trump supporter, he attended the 2016 GOP Convention as an Alternate Delegate with the rest of our Log Cabin contingent from California. He’s appeared on numerous occasions on national cable news to tell his story, and provide some ideas on what we can do going forward.

Come to our mixer on Friday, October 21st to meet Juan, get an update on where our case lies, and more election previews. Log Cabin Los Angeles was critical in bringing this case to light…we hope you’ll join us to see the kind of impact we are making.

Log Cabin members get in for $10 which includes appetizers and happy hour pricing at the bar. Non-members are $15. As always, Governor level members and above get in for free and will also receive a drink ticket.

If you are Governor level or above, or prefer to pay in cash, check or debit/credit card at the door, click here to RSVP. Otherwise you can purchase tickets online below.
