ALT 98.7 Personality Greg Gory Speaking at Log Cabin Mixer on March 20

greg-gory-filter.jpgWe're back at The Abbey in West Hollywood this month for our March Log Cabin Mixer featuring Alt 98.7 personality Greg Gory.

Greg Gory is currenty 1/4 of The Woody Show, heard weekday mornings on Alt 98.7 here in LA. Prior to his current job, he was a fixture in San Francisco radio, doing mornings at LIVE 105 for 14 years, followed by mornings at the legendary KFOG for 2 years. During those 2 years, he made his foray into talk radio, with weekend shifts at both KGO (known for its more-often-than-not liberal views) and the bastion of conservatism in San Francisco, KSFO. Therein lied the fun, and the difficulty. Greg's conservative views didn't fit in with KGO listeners. And being openly gay didn't quite sit well with KSFO listeners. Greg's other passion is voice-over work. He's been heard on national infomercials, as well as countless radio and TV commercials. He's currently a Sierra Madre resident living happily ever after with his partner Mario.

Greg will talk about his life as a popular talent on radio as well as his experiences of being out and Republican on-air.

We're in!

On Sunday Morning, the California Republican Party voted to charter Log Cabin Republicans of California – and the vote wasn’t even close.  The landslide 861-293 vote recognizes Log Cabin Republicans as an official affiliate of the state Republican Party.

“This is about working together to win elections in California,” said John Musella, former President of the LA chapter of Log Cabin and our new state chairman. “Being officially recognized sends a strong signal that the Republicans’ ‘Big Tent’ has room for everyone. Our chartering in California should serve as an example of how every Republican organization can stand proud and work together.”

LA Log Cabin Statement on SCOTUS Marriage Acceptance Case

On Friday, The Supreme Court of the United States announced it would be considering cases involving state bans on marriage equality in the next term.  This means it is likely that the nine justices will likely be ruling on the nationwide constitutionality of same-sex marriage.

LA Log Cabin Republicans are excited about this development.  Chapter President Matthew Craffey said:
